Bristol Hill Reserve Urban Bike Park

As part of the recently completed Central Goldfields Shire Walking and Cycling Strategy with Community Vibe in Bendigo, a concept design was developed for a new urban bike park at Bristol Hill Reserve in Maryborough. The bike park sits adjacent the existing velodrome facility and opens up new cycling opportunities for families and riders of all ages and abilities and broader cycling connections within the town of Maryborough. Features of the design proposal include; a skills loop and new skills trail, family trail, pump track and dirt jumps and toddler ‘learn to ride’ area. In addition to this improved car parking and picnic facilities have been proposed.

Stage 2 of this project will be the development of a more detailed Master Plan for the site.

Concept completed: October 2016
