In conjunction with the Masterplan for De Soza Park there has been a call from the local community to also upgrade the existing playspace. Particular to this upgrade is the opportunity to broaden the range of ages catered for, including both older and younger age groups. The design was to incorporate existing landscape features such as the grassed mound and existing pathways and established trees, whilst introducing new components around a local ‘mining’ theme. Key features of the design include log adventure and agility activities, a large dry creek bed and water play area incorporating trays and mining sluices, an in-ground trampoline trail and bush kingdom area along with landscape features, trees, paths, seating and picnic areas.
The plan is to be implemented in stages.
