The project at Snake Valley in Western Victoria was to work through community priorities to design a new community park in the township.
Engagement sessions were very well supported by the community with overall support for skate facilities and a community reserve with picnic and play facilities. There were challenges onsite with grade, access to infrastructure and location in general. The skate facility was designed as a bowl and street course, with the possibility of a snake run to be added at a later stage. A BBQ / Picnic Shelter, paths, planting and informal play such as a Flying Fox were all included to bring this community space together.
